Two cars being sought by police – please keep a lookout

We had a robbery in Park Estate involving a black BMW X5 on Monday – could be the same operation?

Via Gill Lanham:

Police are on the lookout for a BLACK BMW X3 – CA 941 989 bearing cloned plates, which is confirmed as being involved with 2 break-ins today – 11 Ou Wingend, Constantia, and 4 Bastille, Nova Constantia.
It triggered the LPR after the breakins at 13h37.
It was picked up by BH Security on Ladies Mile, and followed. SAPS and others all notified, suspect vehicle was then also noted that it had a partner vehicle, a white VW Polo CA947981. This Polo only joined the BMW on Ladies Mile, so police presume it is a scout vehicle.
At the bottom of Wynberg Hill, the vehicles split when they realised they were being followed. Polo went direction Gabriel, Wynberg, while BH followed the BMW up Wynberg Hill.
At Trovato it was picked up by a Wynberg SAPS vehicle, which chased the BMW but lost it going back into Bishopscourt.
Please be on the lookout for either of these vehicles and, if spotted, reported immediately to the police.

  1. Dear Pam. I never know which number to dial for the quickest response from police. If for example we see either of these cars mentioned who do we phone ?

Why is this picking up in the middle of the line. Sorry but I am technically challenged !!

    Best wishes Delia Scott

  2. Hi Delia, we are in Mowbray police station’s Sector 2 — the best way to get a very speedy response is to call the Sector 2 patrol van on 079 894 1466. The sector 2 commander is Constable Mike Mamuthamani who can be reached on 082 469 2462.

  3. My home in Joostenberg Vlakte was robbed yesterday (19/11/2013) by 4 persons in a black BMW X5 whilst my daughter home alone. The bmw had very dark tinted windows. Unfortunately she can’t tell if the vehicle had a sun roof….but how many black bmw X5 are there in CPT. It could be the same vehicle. Must thank ADT for assistance.
