- International Coastal Clean-up: Did you know that the litter on the beaches of Robben Island comes from the Liesbeek River? Join the Friends of the Liesbeek from 9am on Saturday 15th September for a cleanup at Lagoon Beach, Milnerton (follow Marine Drive towards Milnerton and turn towards the sea at the Otto du Plessis /Boundary Road intersection. Liesbeek River Walks/Workshops
- Thursday 13th September, 15h00 to 18h00: Focusing on the stretch of the Liesbeek that runs downstream from Albion Spring to Belmont Bridge, including the Rondebosch Pick and Pay Shopping area. Meet in front of the Rondebosch Library. The workshop will start with a 1 hour walk along the river, and continue with a structured discussion session and a display at the library.
