Fraud Alert! ADT has NOT changed banking details

This letter from ADT via Douglas van der Horst:

Dear Customer

ADT Security (Pty) Ltd recently received information that a falsified notification is being circulated to its clients. The content of the notification states that clients should update their ADT banking details and that all future monthly payments be deposited into a new bank account (particularly Nedbank).

Please be advised that this notification is fraudulent and not linked to ADT in any way. ADT is currently investigating the matter and hopes to root out the source of the notification as soon as possible and bring the matter to an end.

As a valued client, we urge you to ignore any notification you may receive relating to changes in our banking details. The notification may be printed on an ADT Security letterhead. We ask that should you receive such a notification, you contact our Regional Office immediately on 086 12 12 300 or email hcloete@adt.co.za.
